English: This is located beside the small river ru Simon and against the 60' high northern limestone slope of the "ru Simon valley". It may be possible that such a tall escarpment could have been formed through erosion by the Loing river, a much more powerful body of water which now runs hardly more than a mile further south.
Four species of bats have been counted on February 02, 2014, living in the caves carved in the limestone escarpment on the property and in the neighbouring ones.
Français : Ces bâtiments sont situés le long du ru Simon, et contre le flanc nord (en calcaire) de la vallée du ru Simon. L'escarpment, atteignant plus de 20 m de haut, a probablement été formé par le Loing, une rivière bien plus puissante que le petit ru et qui coule maintenant à moins de deux km au sud. Quatre espèces de chauve-souris ont été dénombrées le 02 février 2014 dans les caves creusées dans la roche de l'escarpement, sur la propriété et sur celles voisines.
