Description

La grande salle du château de Trakai (Great Hall)

Cette salle est la plus vaste du château, elle possédait des vitraux aux fenêtres (restitution récente des vitraux dans un style similaire), les murs étaient décorés de fresques (début 15ème siècle). Les peintures murales représentaient comme dans d'autres espaces du château des scènes de la vie de Vytautas et de la christianisation du pays qui s'est produite à cette époque.

Cette salle était réservée aux réceptions, fêtes, cérémonies et réunions du conseil.

Actuellement, cette salle, très réputée pour la qualité de son acoustique, sert à donner des concerts. Elle est toujours une salle de réception des personnalités qui visitent la Lituanie.
