Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The grand temple doors are adorned with fraying scarves, a gesture of reverence among Tibetan Buddhists. The vivid contrast between the scarves and the deep maroon of the painted doors, accentuated by brass fittings, makes the monastery entrance striking. A sturdy padlock ensures security, while small carved faces create a decorative cross, perhaps intended to ward off wrongdoers.
