Deutsch: Von der Dorfgemeinschaft Kurzach erhielt 1989 der bekannte Steinmetz und Bildhauer Berthold Teske - heute wohnhaft in Kremmen (Brandenburg) - den Auftrag einen Dorfbrunnen für den Dorfplatz zu gestalten. Schnell wurde ein scheinbar geeigneter Steinbrocken (15 Tonnen) in einem nahen Steinbruch gefunden. Um den Stubensandstein auf seine Eignung für das Projekt zu prüfen, hat der Künstler vor Ort direkt im Steinbruch eine kunstvolle Probearbeit in den Fels gemeißelt. So entstand innerhalb weniger Stunden die sogenannte „Kurzacher Madonna". Durch das kleine Kunstwerk hat der Steinbruch eine mythische Ausstrahlung bekommen. Der Ort wird gerne auch zur stillen Meditation genutzt |
