Zu seinen literarischen Werken zählen u.a. Gedichte, Sagen des klassischen Altertums, Volkssagen und Legenden, Wanderungen durch Schwaben, … Schwabs Ballade „Die Glocke vom Wunnenstein“ erzählt die Sage von „Anna Susanna“, der Glocke im alten Kirchturm auf dem Wunnenstein, die die Menschen vor Unwettern warnte. |
