English: City walls of Landstuhl, Rhineland-Palatinate. Left: The tower "Halbmond" (half moon), built around 1500. Right: An embrasure or gun port in the "Halbmond", which allowed the use of small firearms.
Deutsch: Stadtmauer Landstuhl, Rheinland-Pfalz. Links: Der runde Schalenturm "Halbmond", erbaut um 1500. Er steht in der Schenkelmauer, die von der Burg Nanstein zur Stadt hinabführt. Rechts: Eine der Schlüssellochscharten des Turms. Sie flankiert die anschließende Mauer und diente dem Einsatz von Handfeuerwaffen.
