Description
English: In the early system of Prussian/German naval artillery, the Ring Kanonen (hooped guns) came in a short or long version. The long version of the 26 cm Ring Kanone had a length of 5,720 mm, hence 26 cm L/22.
The image was made by Jonathan Hill Bookseller, who offers an original print of the photo as part of a set that Krupp presented to Otto von Bismarck.
Nederlands: In het vroege systeem van de Duitse marine artillerie werden de ring kanonnen als lange en korte versie ingevoerd. Het lange 26 cm kanon was 5.720 mm lang. Daarom 26 cm L/22.
