Summary[edit]

Description

I enjoyed it, but I think I prefer som smaller springs. Places like Doe Bay on Orcas Island and Terwilliger Hot Spring, near Eugene, Oregon are easier places to join into conversations with other users. One thing I like is conversation at the springs and Sol Duc is pretty large. Not as easy to hear, or find oneself in the middle of the conversations. Lots of families and kids.

Sol Duc requires swim wear while Terwilleger and Doe Bay are clothing optional. My unique erotic fetish causes me to find the shape of some bodies appealing so total genital nudity isn't necessary. Nudity is nice, but lack of it is not necessarily a deal breaker, so to speak. The smaller Springs have the nudity, and they also have more accessible conversation. I miss the conversation more when comparing a large resort like Sol Duc to a place like Terwilleger.

The size of the pools and the mix of people makes a difference. Terwilleger and Doe Bay have more unattached adults. At Sol Duc, the crowds are bigger and more distant seeming. More "family oriented;" meaning distracted adults and lots of kids. I'm not super outgoing, but I did talk to a few folks. Mostly retired people. Had a good time anyway. I often like to review things like hot springs. They each have their own personalities.

Sol Duc also has nice poolside cafes close to the pool decks.
