[edit]DescriptionLast Kiss (9962600513).jpg |
279 second exposure shot with the camera mounted on a telescope equipped with a, Orion Skyview EQ3 german equatorial mount with GOTO dual axis tracking. this allow the camera to capture pinpoint stars and much more light than usual. the trade off to tracking the night sky is that the horizon will show movement and motion blur. I wasnt concerned with this while making this image. I simply wanted to capture the last kiss of the center of the galaxy as i witnessed sagittarius sink below the horizon. I was hoping to capture some Persied meteors and although none graced my frame during this shoot, i did manage to make a beautiful image of the summer milky way Tech Details Taken 8/8/13 279 seconds ISO800 Focal length 14mm Aperture F2.8 Sony Alpha a390 DSLR Orion Skyview Pro EQ3GEM dual axis motor driven (unguided)
