Description
Français : Le Rocher d’Antioche à marée haute: à marée haute (ce jour de coefficient 86), le Rocher d’Antioche est totalement recouvert par la mer. Sa présence est signalée par son phare appelé « Balise d’Antioche ». Le jour, les marins sont alertés de la présence du Rocher par les couleurs du phare (noir et jaune), la nuit par un feu électrique. Photographie du Rocher d’Antioche prise depuis La Morelière. En décembre 1924, les habitants de la Morelière (hameau de la commune de Saint-Denis) furent aux premières loges pour voir le naufrage du « Port Caledonia », dernier grand voilier à s’être brisé sur le Rocher d’Antioche et ne pouvoir venir en aide aux marins vu la tempête. Saint-Denis-d’Oléron, Île d’Oléron, Charente-Maritime, France.
