Français : Les châteaux et manoirs du Périgord, le château de Biron, vue intérieure partielle de la chapelle seigneuriale, ici le tombeau de Pons de Gontaut éclairé au crépuscule par deux projecteurs de 1000 W, la chapelle du château de Biron est bâtie sur le rempart et comporte deux étages, la chapelle du bas constitue l’église basse à l’usage de la population et celle du haut, seigneuriale, contient les tombeaux de Pons et d’Armand de Gontaut; ici le tombeau de Pons (mort à Biron en 1524), qualifié de tombeau des ducs car ses successeurs y furent enterrés jusqu’au XVIIe siècle, est un haut sarcophage surmonte d’un gisant, celui-ci, très mutilé, repose selon la coutume sur une natte, les pieds sur un lion couché, son heaume à coté et la tête appuyée sur un coussinet brodé d’entrelacs entre deux anges agenouillés, la face Nord présente sur le panneau de gauche le Christ nimbé suivi d’apôtres maladroitement entassés tandis qu’à droite les cinq femmes richement vêtues sont plus délicatement sculptées; aux angles des niches à coquille abritaient de petites statues de vertus, au-dessous de ces niches des bustes d’angelots se répondent en diagonale, une frise de cranes et de tibias croisés se développe sur le soubassement, édifice classé au titre des monuments historiques, photo prise après avoir obtenu l’autorisation du propriétaire, commune de Biron, Dordogne, France, Europe.
