Description
Français : Son système de racines étendues et profondes lui permet de retenir l’eau et de résister à des températures élevées, le rendant particulièrement adapté à la sécheresse et à d’autres conditions environnementales difficiles. La fonction la plus simple et la plus classique est d’abord, la protection du sol par l’ombre portée des cimes denses des arbres dans ces régions subdésertiques, où l’ennemi principal de la végétation est la sécheresse et la dessiccation solaire.
