Description
English: Photo from the exhibitions at the Norwegian Armed Forces Museum| in Oslo, Norway:
  • Uniform for a captain in the International Police Corps in the Territory of the Saar Basin (German: Saarbeckengebiet, Saarterritorium; French: Territoire du bassin de la Sarre), a region occupied and governed by the United Kingdom and France from 1920 to 1935 under a League of Nations (Völkerbund) mandate. The uniform was worn by the Norwegian officer Ola Fritzner during the winter of 1934–35 in connection with the Saar status referendum (German: Saarabstimmung) on January 13, 1935.
  • Fritzner, Haakon Schønning, and later Police Minister of the Nazi government in Norway, Jonas Lie, served in this police corps on behalf of the League of Nations.
  • Visor cap, tunic, and riding breeches.

Uniformen ble benyttet av den norske offiseren Ola Fritzner vinteren 1934–35 i forbindelse med folkeavstemninga 13. januar 1935 som gjenforente området med Tyskland. Fritzner, Haakon Schønning og seinere NS-minister Jonas Lie tjenestegjorde i dette politikorpset på vegne av Folkeforbundet (se Willy Dahl: Max Mauser - men Jonas Lie (1990) side 33–35)
