Poppy field in Pavy

Summary[edit]

Description
English: The legendary poppy field in the village of Pavy (Porkhovsky district of the Pskov Oblast). This is the only such field in the north-west of Russia, which is completely uncharacteristic for these places. The legend says that the poppies growing here are a symbol of the blood of soldiers who died in World War II. They were sown by the mother of the soldier who died here. She came to the place of her son's death from afar and brought seeds with her.
