"Denk an den Tod an dieser Stelle, hier stand der Leixner an der Schwelle zur Ewigkeit vor vielen Jahren; erschlag'n hat's ihn beim Langholz fahren." English: Picture and poem on the wayside shrine "Leixnertaferl" near Muehlhausen (Neustadt an der Donau) in Lower Bavaria, commemorating a man named Leixner who was killed in an accident while transporting logs. "Think of death at this location, here Leixner was standing at the threshold to eternity many years ago; he was crushed while running logs." |
