English: For services to music and the community. Mrs Jackson has been the organist at All Saints Anglican Church in Hokitika since 1955. She was involved in school music festivals for 29 years, and she has been the accompanist for the Hokitika Dramatic Society productions since 1979. For the past 15 years Mrs Jackson has been providing musical entertainment for the residents of the Allen Bryant Lifecare Home in Hokitika. She has also been involved in children’s athletics and assisted as Secretary and Treasurer of the Westland A & P Show for 40 years. She has been the organiser and trainer of the Hokitika Schools Choir for 23 years, regularly taking the choir to the Christchurch Primary Schools Music Festival. |
