Title
Letter from Rosa Fraenkel to Georg Bredig
Description
Georg Bredig (1868-1944) receives a letter from Rosa Fraenkel in Hamburg, Germany. Rosa is a relative of Georg's deceased wife, Rosa Bredig (1877-1933). She offers to help Georg with immigration inquiries for his son, Max Bredig (1902-1977). Due to the Nuremberg Laws enacted by the Third Reich regime, Max Bredig, as an employee of Jewish descent, will be forced to resign from his position with Bavarian Nitrogen Works and seek work abroad. Rosa mentions the Kush family, formerly of Hamburg and now residing in New York, as a possible reference for Max.
