Description
Deutsch: Eine frisch geschlüpfte weibliche Nordische Moosjungfer (Leucorrhinia rubicunda) im Ahlenmoor, nördliches Niedersachsen. Beachte den frischen Glanz der noch jugendlichen Flügel, und die noch nicht ausgefärbten Pterostigmata. Untypischerweise (allerdings bei frisch geschlüften Anisoptera häufiger zu beobachten) sind die Flügel nicht vom Körper abgespreizt, sondern mittig zusammengelegt.
English: A straight hatched female of the Northern White-faced Darter (Leucorrhinia rubicunda) in the Ahlenmoor, a peatland in northern Lower Saxony, Germany. Note the fresh splendor of the still youthful wings, and the yet not fully colored Pterostigmata. Uncharacteristically (but observed more often for straight hatched Anisoptera) the wings are not splayed out from the body, but folded in the center.
