Description
English: Licensing plate for cars, according to "Regulation of car traffic" from 3 August 1913, published in "Monitorul Oficial" nr. 156 from 24 October 1913, p. 6386, annex B:
  • "The forward plate, height of 10 cm, mounted in front of the vehicle. Letters and numbers must be painted white on a black background, in Latin script; they measure 75 mm height, 12 mm thick and 45 mm wide. Letters and numbers are separated by a space measuring 30 mm. The lowercase letter following the capital letter has the same thickness and wideness as the capital letter, however its height is 1/4 smaller; any ascenders and descenders that lowercase letters might have are not to be counted within the height."
  • "The backward plate, height of 12 cm, mounted behind the vehicle. Letters and numbers must be painted white on a black background, in Latin script; they measure 100 mm height, 15 mm thick and 60 mm wide. Letters and numbers are separated by a space measuring 35 mm. The lowercase letter following the capital letter has the same thickness and wideness as the capital letter, however its height is 1/4 smaller; any ascenders and descenders that lowercase letters might have are not to be counted within the height."

  • "Tabla dinainte, de 10 centimetri înălţime, ficsată înaintea vehiculului. Literele majuscule şi cifrele sunt scrise în alb pe fund negru, cu caractere latineşti, şi au 75 mm înălţime, 12 mm grosime şi 45 mm lărgime. Literele şi cifrele sunt separate printr-un spaţiu de 30 mm. Litera majusculă, care urmează după litera capitală, este de aceeaşi grosime şi lărgime ca şi litera cea mare, afară de înălţime, care este cu 1/4 mai mică; coadele pe care le au unele litere minuscule nu se calculează în această înălţime."
