English: The Pagoda at the Lingfeng Temple in Wutaishan, China. The stupa is the oldest architecture in the temple. It is about 20 metres (66 ft) high and built of brick held together with clay mortar. The stupa was octagonal with five stories. The sumeru throne engraved patterns of Eight Heavenly Kings (Eight Diamond Kings). On the second floor, each side is carved with three Buddha statues. On the third floor, each side is carved with a Buddha statue. On the first floor, it is engraved with the words: "佛日圆照明古州和尚舍昨塔".
中文:灵峰寺唯一留传至今的一座古建筑——密檐式砖结构舍利塔,该塔八面五层,塔向实心,高约20米,塔的第一层正面上部刻有“佛日圆照明古州和尚舍昨塔。”下部有磨砖细刻而成的两扇门,跟真门一样逼真。第二层每面刻有三尊佛像,第三层每面刻有佛像一尊,第一层须弥座上,有八位石雕金刚用肩膀扛着巍巍砖塔。 |
