Description

PLEASE, no multi invitations, glitters or self promotion in your comments, THEY WILL BE DELETED. My photos are FREE for anyone to use, just give me credit and it would be nice if you let me know, thanks - NONE OF MY PICTURES ARE HDR.

Monument of the Discoveries was built in 1960 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of Henry the navigator (1394-1460), one of the great Portuguese Discoverers.

Statues on both sides of the monument are of other discoverers, clergy, and other important people of Portugal.
