Description
Deutsch: Über dem Eingang Lister Meile 77/79 in Hannover zeugt die Terrakotto-Skulptur eines Merkurs mit Hermesstab und geflügeltem Helm von der ursprünglich beabsichtigten Funktion des Gebäudes als Waren- und Wohnhaus. Der Bildhauer ist hier noch nicht identifiziert. Am 18. September 2013 verlegte der Künstler Gunter Demnig in Anwesenheit beispielsweise des seinerzeitigen Oberbürgermeister-Kandidaten Stefan Schostok, Rainer Hoffschildt und anderen acht Stolpersteine im Bürgersteig zu Füßen der Figur. Die Stolpersteine erinnern seitdem an die folgenden Opfer des nationalsozialistischen Terrors: Moritz Weintraub, Amalie Debora Weintraub, Saul Israel Sojbel, Philipp Jacobs, Gerson Jacobs, Erna Jacobs, Frieda Katzenstein und Arthur Goldwein ...
