Description
English: MBTA/Keolis locomotive #1134 pulls a diverted outbound Haverhill Line train past the former Salem Street station on the Wildcat Branch in August 2021. This photo was taken on a weekend when train service on the Lower Haverhill Line between Ballardvale and Malden Center was suspended due to track construction related to a bridge replacement project. As such, all trains to and from Haverhill operated via the Lowell Line between Boston and Wilmington, then crossed over onto the Haverhill Line via the Wildcat Branch which is normally only done during weekday rush hours.
