Description
Ελληνικά: Το λογότυπο του ΤΕΙ Δυτικής Ελλάδας φιλοτεχνήθηκε από τον Αριστογιάννη Γαρμπή, Καθηγητή του Πανεπιστημίου Πατρών. Πρόκειται για ένα χαρακτικό του έργο το οποίο συμβολίζει τη συνένωση των δύο πρώην Ιδρυμάτων, ΤΕΙ Πάτρας και ΤΕΙ Μεσολογγίου και εμπνεύστηκε από την καλωδιωτή γέφυρα Ρίου – Αντιρρίου, «Χαρίλαος Τρικούπης». H αναπαράσταση της συνένωσης πραγματοποιήθηκε με το σχήμα ενός πυλώνα της γέφυρας και τρία διπλά καλώδια στήριξης του οδοστρώματος, τα οποία συμβολίζουν τους τρεις Νομούς (Αχαΐας, Αιτωλοακαρνανίας και Ηλείας) και τις έξι πόλεις (Πάτρα, Μεσολόγγι, Πύργος, Αίγιο, Αμαλιάδα, Ναύπακτος), όπου εκτείνεται το νέο Ίδρυμα. Το λογότυπο σημειολογικά παραπέμπει στον Πίνακα του Ευγένιου Ντελακρουά, για την «ηρωική έξοδο του Μεσολογγίου».
