Summary[edit]

Description
English: Preserved London Transport bus T910 (reg. A910 SYE), a 1983 Leyland Titan (B15), pictured at the 2009 Trans Lancs rally in Heaton Park, Manchester.

The 970th production Titan, it's from the later batch built at Leyland's expanded factory in the Lillyhall Industrial Estate in Workington (earlier ones were built by British Leyland subsidiary Park Royal Vehicles in Park Royal, London). As with the vast majority of production, it was delivered new to London Transport as part of the dual-door T-class, allocated fleet number T910.

From new, T910 operated in the traditional Titan areas in London, both with London Transport and then in the post-deregulation/pre-privatisaton London Buses business unit era.

After 5 months in storage, in February 1993 it became one of the few London Titans to operate in the west of the capital, when it was transferred to the Kingston upon Thames (garage code K) based Westlink business unit for use on London Buses route 131. In March 1993 it was repainted into Westlink's red/white/green livery.

On full privatisation in 1994, T910 remained with Westlink.

In November 1996 it was sold to post-deregulation independant operator Merseyline, who were based in Garston, Merseyside and used a blue & cream livery. When Merseyline sold out to Arriva North West in August 2004, T910 passed into their fleet as number 3958, but two months later it was sold into preservation.

Having since been repainted into its original London red it has appeared at several north west rallies. At the time of this photograph it was owned by the North West Musuem of Transport in St Helens, Merseyside.
