Description
English: Photograph from Louis Désiré Blanquart-Evrards Album photographique de l'artiste et de l'amateur, issued in Lille in 1851. The album includes 36 plates, each with a single mounted photograph, and four pages with descriptions.
Français : Ypres était au moyen-âge renommée par ses immenses fabriques de draps; aussi, parmi les monuments qui attestent sou antienne splendeur, faut-il placer au premier rang la halle des Drapiers, commencée en 1201). Cet édifice, qui sert maintenant d'IIotel-dc-Villc, forme un des côtés de la place du Marché ; derrière, est l'église de Saint-Martin.
