English: Apulian loutrophoros with red figurs. A loutrophoros (="carry" "bathwater) was a distinctive type of Greek pottery vessel characterized by an elongated neck with two handles. The loutrophoros was used to hold water during marriage and funeral rituals. Circa 340 - 330 BC, Tarente ? (Apulia, Italy). Buy collection Piot 1876. Louvre museum (Paris, France). MNB 1148. K 77.
