Notes Ludovico Carracci non partecipò alla decorazione della Galleria Farnese, capolavoro di suo cugino Annibale e cui in parte contribuì anche il fratello di questi Agostino Carracci. Il biografo bolognese Carlo Cesare Malvasia racconta però che durante una breve visita a Roma fatta da Ludovico ad Annibale il primo avrebbe dato una mano al secondo per migliorare qualche dettaglio degli affreschi. Vari studiosi, accettando la testimonianza del Malvasia, individuano in questo nudo della volta della Galleria la mano di Ludovico Carracci.
