Lyrbe City entrance

Summary[edit]

Description
English: This seemed to be at least a break in the city defenses, probably a gate, with maybe a ruined tower to the right. During a visit in 2012 I found an obviously official notice indicating that the ancient site here was now identified as Lyrbe, and not as Seleucia (in Pamphylia). This notwithstanding, it was a magical place. There is hardly any information on the site, and, I add some captions taken from information i could gather.
