Summary[edit]

Description
English: The lysozyme agar diffusion assay can be used to distinguish Micrococcus luteus (side A) from some other Gram-positive cocci. Plate A was inoculated with Micrococcus luteus (side A) and Staphylococcus aureus (side B). A blank disk was placed on each plate and 30 microliter of lysozyme (from 50 mg/ml stock) was pipetted onto the disk. The plates were incubated for 36 hours. (Inoculation by A. Gregory and L. Charles.)
