Summary[edit]
DescriptionMC (861966733).jpg |
The Muttart Conservatory is a public greenhouse in Edmonton's river valley. It was designed by Peter Hemmingway, who also designed the Coronation Pool. When I consider the date of its construction, I tend to think of "Pyramid Power" and "In Search Of" re-runs. When looking down on the structures from the valley's edge or visiting the conservatory, I am always stuck by how humble the pyramids seem despite their size. Looking down at them or feeling them gently slope away from me, there's something unpretentious about this very clever, very modern complex. |
