Description
Nederlands: Plaat XXIV Machine Lijnden (Ontwerp met Compoundmachine), 1882. Lintzen (1994) schreef: "De leraar werktuigkunde aan de Polytechnische School, A. Huët, ontwikkelde een grafische ontwerpmethode voor compoundmachines. Hier is de eerste stap van deze methode afgebeeld. Voor een machine met gegeven afmetingen, bepaalde hij de druk in de receiver en de cilinders. In dit geval ging het om een compoundmachine met één hoge-drukcilinder, twee lage-drukcilinders en twee ‘receivers’ (reservoirs), die altijd met elkaar in verbinding stonden en drie krukken onder hoeken van 120o. Langs de x-as staat de tijd en op de y-as het volume van de receivers en de cilinders. ..."
