Description
English: Madangopal temple at Birahi in Nadia district , West Bengal. The temple was built with the finding provided by Raja Krishnachandra of Nadia. The Madangopal deity initially was instated without any Radhika idol. It is said that due to "Biraha" of the deity because of the absence of his partner, the village was named Birahi. Later a wooden built Radhika was instated with the Madangopal deity.
