| Description |
English: Gadisar Lake is a man made lake that was built during 1400AD by the first king of Jaisalamer Raja Rawal Singh . The lake was originally constructed to store water which later used to be supplied to the whole town of Jaisalamer .
Gadisar Lake has several gateways that are made of golden sand stones . One of the prominent gateway was built by a courtesan named Tilon and named as Tilon ki Pol . It is a gateway to the Gadisar Lake man-made reservoir in jaisalamer . The bank of the lake is surrounded by artistically carved chattris ,temples & ghats . |
