Description
Français : La Maison Picassiette, est une oeuvre typique de l'art brut.

Issu d’un milieu modeste, Raymond Isidore s’installe dans une petite maison dans le quartier chartrain de Saint-Chéron.

Lors de ses promenades, il prend l'habitude de ramasser des morceaux de verre et de faïence qu'il transforme en mosaïques pour embellir sa maison.

Petit à petit, il en recouvre les murs, intérieurs et extérieurs, ainsi que les meubles et les sols. Seule la taille de son terrain semble alors limiter la créativité du « Picassiette ».

Parvenus jusqu'à nous, les décors imaginés et créés par Raymond Isidore ne peuvent qu'émerveiller. Par leur diversité et leur nombre tout d'abord, par la somme de travail qu'ils ont demandé ensuite, mais surtout par leur capacité à nous rendre contemplatifs.
