Deutsch: Das Originalbild zeigte das bekannte Gesicht des US-Präsidenten Abraham Lincoln vom 9. Februar 1864. Dieses Originalbild von Lincoln ist in der Public Domain. Das Bild wurde dann stark verpixelt (englisch pixelated). Das verfremdete Bild besteht aus 21 mal 32 Pixeln. Je weiter man es von sich entfernt hält, desto besser erkennt man das Gesicht. Alternativ kann man auch die Augen zukneifen oder das Bild verkleinern. Alle drei Methoden passen auf die Idee eines Makroskops als Erkenntnisinstrument.
