Summary[edit]

Description
English: Malayappa swami, the Utsava murthi of Tirumala Venkateswara Temple seen on the chinnasesha vahanam during the Brahmotsavam festival in Tirumala. Chinnasesha Vahanam is three words - Chinna means small; Sesha is the celestial serpent on whom Lord Vishnu and his consort Lakshmidevi are seated; Vahanam means vehicle.

This vahanam is different than the Pedasesha Vahanam. Notice that this vahanam has Sesha represented by 5 heads whereas the Sesha in the other vahanam has 7 heads. Also, the lord is without his consorts in this vahanam, different than the other vahanam.

The lord is taken out on the chinnasesha vahanam on the morning of the second day of Brahmotsavam. The lord takes the appearance as Mohini.
