Animal characteristics: Head-Body Length: 180-200 cm; Height: 110-125 cm; Weight: 95-140 kg; Identification: The coat of the red sheep is a light brown color, and its legs and rump are white. Its horns can be up to 190 cm long; Habitat: Hilly terrain near high mountains; Diet: Herbivore: grasses, herbs, sedges; Reproduction: The gestation period for red sheep lasts 150-160 days. One to two offspring are born, after which the mother and her newborn(s) separate from the herd for several days. The young are weaned at four months of age. Red sheep live 10-13 years; Social Structure: Red sheep live in herds that are segregated by sex, each with 2-100+ animals; Behavior: Some populations migrate seasonally; Status: Vulnerable; Interesting Facts: Predators of the red sheep include wolves, snow leopards, and leopards.
