Description
Français : Squelette reconstitué de mammouth, dans le Cabinet naturaliste du Docteur Georges Pontier, fondateur d'une société savante à Lumbres (Pas de Calais, France), à partir d'ossements trouvé à Arques dans une gravière appartenant à Ulrich Dambricourt qui a signalé cette découverte au Dr Pontier qui a exhumé les ossements avec Paul De Givenchy (Président de la Société préhistorique de France). taille : 3 m au garrot (soit 3,35 m de hauteur estimée pour l'animal vivant) et 4,80 m de long (défenses non comprises). Forme dite "albérienne" (tête très allongée aux défenses très recourbées et spiralées, molaires aux lamelles très fines, et membres antérieurs puissants)..
