English: Manmaiju, located in Tarkeshwar Municipality of Kathmandu District, about 8 km northwest of Kathmandu Bazaar on the banks of Vishnumati and Saanglekhola. The Guthi of this temple was arranged by the then Shri 5 Girwanyuddha Bikram Shah. There is a belief that worshiping this goddess will fulfill the desires of the mind. The priests here belong to the Newari community. In this temple, on the day of Chaitra Shukla Punirma, there is a fair of Balaju's Baisadhara as well as a procession of this goddess in Manmaiju and also a fair of Manmaiju. It is said that the priests here do not have to cut their hair, wear clothes that cover the crooked crotch, and eat the sacrificial offerings. The temple is full of woodwork and the temple is very beautiful.
