Die Mansfelder Dorfkirche, ein Fachwerksaal ohne Turm, entstand 1651. Freistehend daneben der vermutlich später errichtete Glockenturm. Das Pfarrhaus und eine Wandtafel erinnern an Gotfried Benn, der zu den größten deutschsprachigen Lyrikern des 20. Jahrhunderts zählt. Gottfried Benn kam am 2. Mai 1886 als Sohn von Caroline Jequier, einer Erzieherin aus der romanischen Schweiz, und des protestantischen Pfarrers Gustav Benn in Mansfeld zur Welt. Kurze Zeit später verließ die Familie verließ Mansfeld. Der 2002 gegründete „Gottfried Benn Förderkreis Mansfeld“ hat im Kirchenraum eine sehenswerte Ausstellung zum Leben des Dichters eingerichtet und bemüht sich, den Raum mit kulturellen Veranstaltungen zu neuem Leben zu erwecken.
