The crinoline is an object that has controlled the body and activities of women in the past. But the end of this fashion has not necessarily meant the liberation of women from the physical constraints that transform the body into an ideal entity. Parasites refers to the relationship that exists between the clothes and the people who wear them. A crinoline is nothing but a series of hoops covered in textile when on the floor, but once worn, it comes to define itself and its host.
