Français : Voyage de S. A. I. le prince Napoléon à Turin. -Un grand mariage se PréPare c'est vers l'Italie, vers Turin que se Portent en cet instant l'attention et l'intérêt Public. S A. I. le prince Napoléon, parti le 14 janvier de Paris, est allé Prendre à Marseille le steamer la Reine Hortense, où il s'est embarqué avec les officiers de sa maison militaire et le général Niel, aide de camp de l’empereur. Après avoir touché à Villa-Franca, le 15, pour aller à Nice rendre visite à son oncle le roi de Wurtemberg, il a continué sa route vers Gênes. La Reine-Hortense doublait le lendemain la pointe du phare et entrait dans le port de cette ancienne métropole commerciale de la côte ligurienne à dix heures du matin. C'est en cet instant que M. Henri Durand-Brager représente le steamer impérial dans le dessin fait sur un croquis de M. de Saint-Elme et reproduit dans la première page de ce numéro.« Je suis arrivé à Turin le 16, au même instant que le prince Napoléon, nous écrit l'un de nos artistes, M. Ed. Riou, envoyé exprès en cette ville par l'administration du Monde illustré. Je rencontre partout l'accueil le plus sympathique; j'ai déjà pu assister a la réception de Son Altesse impériale, par M. le comte de Cavour. Italiano: Viaggio di S.A.S. il Principe Napoleone a Torino. -Si prepara un grande matrimonio, è verso l'Italia, verso Torino che in questo momento si concentra l'attenzione e l'interesse del pubblico. Sua Altezza il Principe Napoleone, partito da Parigi il 14 gennaio, si recò a Marsiglia con il piroscafo Reine Hortense, oppure si imbarcò con gli ufficiali della sua famiglia militare e il generale Niel, aiutante di campo dell'imperatore. Dopo essere sbarcato a Villa Franca il 15 per recarsi a Nizza in visita allo zio, il re del Württemberg, proseguì la sua rotta verso Genova. Il giorno successivo la Reine-Hortense doppia la punta del faro ed entra nel porto dell'antica metropoli commerciale della costa ligure alle dieci del mattino. È in questo momento che il signor Henri Durand-Brager rappresenta il piroscafo imperiale nel disegno tratto da uno schizzo del signor de Saint-Elme e riprodotto sulla prima pagina di questo numero: “Sono arrivato a Torino il 16, alle contemporaneamente al principe Napoleone, ci scrive uno dei nostri artisti, il signor Ed. Riou, inviato espressamente in questa città dall'amministrazione di Le Monde Illustré. Ovunque incontro l'accoglienza più amichevole; Ho già potuto presenziare al ricevimento di Sua Altezza Imperiale, da parte del Sig. Conte di Cavour. English: Travel of H.H.H. Prince Napoleon to Turin. -A big wedding is being prepared, it is towards Italy, towards Turin that attention and public interest are being focused at this moment. H.H.H. Prince Napoleon, who left Paris on January 14, went to take the steamer Reine Hortense to Marseille, or he embarked with the officers of his military household and General Niel, aide-de-camp of the emperor. After touching down at Villa Franca on the 15th to go to Nice to visit his uncle the King of Württemberg, he continued his route towards Genoa. The Reine-Hortense rounded the point of the lighthouse the next day and entered the port of this ancient commercial metropolis on the Ligurian coast at ten o'clock in the morning.
