Français : Portrait de Marie-Thérèse Lesclide, dite Valentine Lesclide (1858-1934), fille de Richard Lesclide, épouse (1878) de Elzéar Bonnier-Ortolan (divorce en 1888) puis en 1903 de René d'Hubert.
Le tableau est présenté par Noémie Guillaume au Salon de 1880 (numéro 1741, Portrait de Mme ***), où l'artiste reçoit une mention honorable. L'oeuvre peut être identifiée à l'aide d'une description très précise fournie par Lafenestre, Georges, Le Livre d'or du Salon de peinture et de sculpture : catalogue descriptif des oeuvres récompensées et des principales oeuvres hors concours, Paris, 1880, p. 41-42 Lire en ligne sur Gallica : "N° 1741. Portrait de Mme ***. H. 1m30. — L. 0m95. - Fig. de grandeur naturelle jusqu'aux genoux. Elle est représentée de trois quarts, la tête de face, assise dans un fauteuil à bras de style Louis XIII. Elle est brune, dans la force de l'âge, et porte une robe noire à grand col tuyauté, décolletée en carré, à manches courtes bordées de tulle blanc. Dans la main droite, qu'elle appuie sur le bras du fauteuil, elle tient un éventail rouge. La main gauche est pendante.
