Description A post-arrest photograph of Marie Goold née Giraudin, the wife of Vere Thomas St Leger Goold (1853–1909), an Irish-born descendant of the Goold Baronets, a tennis player, and a convicted accessory to murder, who was incarcerated on Devil's Island, and died there. Marie Goold was also convicted, and died in a Monpelier prison in 1914.
