Description

Vere Thomas St Leger Goold (1853–1909), an Irish-born descendant of the Goold Baronets, a tennis player, and a convicted accessory to murder, who was incarcerated on Devil's Island, and died there. Also, his wife Marie Goold nee Giraudin. This image shows them before 1907, and before their imprisonment in Monaco.
