English: The NASA Perseverance Rover took a photo of the Martian night sky just after midnight on Sol 785.
The elongated bright blur is Mars' largest moon Phobos. There are also several stars visible, with the bright and red one being Betelgeuse in the constellation Orion. The blue one on the top is Tianguan and the orange one on the far right is Aldebaran, both in the constellation Taurus. The image is looking in a westward direction and the rim of Jezero crater can be seen on the bottom of the frame. The raw image (ZR0_0785_0736583778_456ECM_N0390926ZCAM01071_0260LMJ) was extremely noisy. I applied the accompanying darkframe to remove a lot of the static noise. I then applied several passes of automatic hotpixel removal in PixInsight. In Lightroom I applied Adobe's new AI Denoise function to further reduce the noise in the image.
