Español: Martín Miguel de Güemes, óleo de Eduardo Schiaffino. Lo más aproximado que tenemos de su imagen es esta carbonilla realizada por Eduardo Schiaffino en 1902, quien reune a tres nietos del héroe gaucho, que según descripciones de personas que lo habían visto, compone un rostro basándose en la frente de uno, la nariz y boca del siguiente y la barbilla y orejas del otro. Este retrato de medio cuerpo, que se encuentra en el Museo de Bellas Artes de la Provincia de Salta, es la imagen oficial de Güemes certificada por el Instituto Güemesiano de Salta.
