Provenienz: Das Gemälde wurde 1764 durch Prinz Xaver und Graf Bose für die Dresdener Gemäldegalerie erworben und fand erstmals im Galeriekatalog Riedel/Wenzel 1765 Erwähnung. Im Zweiten Weltkrieg war es zunächst auf Schloss Milkel (Kreis Bautzen) und später auf Schloss Schieritz (Kreis Meißen) ausgelagert. Es gehört zu den Werken, die seit 1945 vermisst werden.
