Summary
[edit]DescriptionMassDOT Locomotive leads outbound train at Roberts October 2022 (2).jpg |
English: One of the special uniquely-branded MassDOT Locomotives pulls an outbound Fitchburg Line train into Brandeis/Roberts station in October 2022. There are only six total locomotives that bear this unique paint scheme, and only two of these are regularly used in passenger service (there are two others that are backup reserves typically only used for the CapeFLYER and special events trains to Foxboro, as well as two additional non-revenue locomotives at the Boston Engine Terminal in Somerville). Because these six engines are a special group that stand out from the vast majority of MBTA Commuter Rail engines, actually catching one in regular revenue service is somewhat of a rarity. |
